Screens all day.
Calm eyes anyway.

Calmeye is a pocket-sized coach for tired eyes: guided exercises, smart 20-20-20 breaks and audio sessions you do with your eyes closed. Most take under five minutes.

The problem

Your eyes clocked eleven hours today.

Screens don't tire your eyes with one big effort — they do it with ten thousand small ones. Focus locked at 60 cm, blink rate cut in half, no horizon in sight. By evening it's a dull ache you've learned to ignore.

The way out

Calmeye is the pause you don't have to remember.

It taps you on the shoulder at the right moment, hands you something gentle to do for two minutes, and gets out of the way. No workout plan, no charts to interpret, nothing to log.

On-device

Find out how tired your eyes actually are

Point the front camera at your face for twenty seconds and follow a moving dot. Calmeye reads blink rate, squint and how steadily you hold focus, and turns it into one number you can watch across weeks — your Eye Age. The camera never leaves your phone: every frame is processed on-device and nothing is uploaded.

Audio

Rest your eyes without looking at anything

Every other eye app asks you to stare at a screen to recover from staring at a screen. Calmeye's eye-rest sessions are audio: put the phone down, close your eyes, and a warm voice with rain, forest, ocean or binaural ambience walks you through five minutes of nothing at all. Palming is led by touch — gentle taps set the breathing rhythm, so there is nothing to look at.

Forty ways to rest, one warm glowing orb

Focus shifts, smooth pursuit, blinking, breathing, palming — 40+ gentle exercises, and every one of them is led by a single peach orb that moves, drifts and breathes at exactly the pace your eyes should follow. No line-art diagrams, no countdown pressure. Pick relax or focus, and follow the light.

Widget & Live Activity

The 20-20-20 rule, on autopilot

Calmeye watches the clock so you don't. Every twenty minutes it nudges you to look twenty feet away for twenty seconds — from the Lock Screen, the Dynamic Island or a home-screen widget, with a live progress ring, so a break costs you one glance instead of a whole context switch. It respects your working hours, your weekends and your sleep: no buzzing at midnight, no reminders on a Sunday walk.

Ask it what your eyes need today

Tell the coach you've been in calls since nine and it puts together the routine for tonight, explains why palming beats another scroll, and answers plainly when you ask what that ache means. It builds your rest plan from a two-minute conversation on day one, notices patterns as the weeks add up, and sends a short read on your week every Sunday.

Minutes rested.
Breaks taken.
Days in a row.

Miss a day and a streak freeze covers you, so one busy Tuesday doesn't undo three weeks. That's the entire dashboard — enough to keep a habit alive, not enough to turn your eyes into a project.

Questions people
actually ask

Is Calmeye free?

Yes — the core of the app is free forever, with no account and no ads. A Pro subscription unlocks everything and starts with a free trial you can cancel in one tap from the App Store. Pricing differs by country, so you'll see the exact number in the app before anything is charged.

Do I need to look at the screen the whole time?

No — that's the point of the eye-rest sessions. They're audio-led: you put the phone face-down, close your eyes and follow a voice. Palming is guided by gentle vibration, so nothing on screen matters.

What happens to the camera scan?

It stays on your iPhone. The fatigue check-in uses Apple's on-device ARKit and Vision frameworks — frames are analysed as they arrive and are never saved, uploaded or shared. Calmeye works without the camera too; the scan is optional.

Does the AI coach send my messages anywhere?

Only if you say yes. The coach asks for explicit permission before its first cloud request and explains what it sends: the text of your messages, no name, no email, no photos. Decline and it keeps answering locally; you can revoke it later in Settings.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Exercises, soundscapes, breaks, the scan and your history all run without a connection. The AI coach is the only part that needs internet.

Will this fix my eyesight?

No, and Calmeye never claims it will. It's a wellness and relaxation app for eye comfort and healthy screen habits — it does not diagnose or treat anything. If something about your eyes worries you, see an eye-care professional.

Which devices does it run on?

iPhone and iPad on iOS 17 or later, in English, Russian, Japanese and Korean. iPad gets a proper layout, not a stretched phone screen.

How do I get help?
